Practical Design of Flow Meter for Mechanical Ventilation Equipment

This paper introduces a practical technique for the design of an instrument used in air flow measurement or flowmeter. is essential component hospital medical ventilation equipment functioning, therefore, parameters presented this article focus on purpose. However, can be employed to any scale. The based indirect measurement, using sensor that converts parameter into differential pressure measurement. An electronic transducer allows values obtained as electrical signal, which then digitized and analyzed obtain original parameter. experimental procedure utilizes computational algorithm perform signal analysis; however, given simplicity procedure, could adapted digital processing card platform, show immediately. Preliminary analyses demonstrated efficiency with sensitivity 0.0681 L/s. Accuracy evaluation showed average error lesser than 1.4%, standard deviation 0.0612 normal distribution over set test measurements.
